Fundraising:So far, over 70 people have made donations to Los Altos Hills Open Space bringing our fund up to $10,000. This is very encouraging, and we appreciate each and every donation.If you haven't yet contributed, please consider writing a check for whatever amount you can afford. Your donation demonstrates your support for our open space issue, as well as helping us reach our goal. Contributions above $250 can be tax-deductible if you wish. The Santa Clara Valley Audubon Society can accept donations on our behalf which are then tax-deductible. Instead of making your check out to LAH Open Space, for these larger donations just make your check out to Santa Clara Valley Audubon Society. Goals of Initiative:This is not just about Westwind Barn and Byrne Preserve. We have identified three additional open space areas and two recreational properties that need to be protected as well. The main objective of our initiative will be to protect these areas by:

Outreach:Do you know of others who would be interested in being on this e-mail list? Please consider passing on their names for us to contact. In this way we will be able to reach many more residents.Also, we are looking for someone to "chair" neighborhood informa- tional coffees. A number of people throughout the Town have offered their homes. We are seeking a coordinator for these events. Please call Nancy at 941-4808 if you might be willing to take this on.
